My name is Meredith McCoy and I am an Assistant Professor in American Studies and History at Carleton College, where I teach classes about Indigenous activism, Indian education history, and Indigenous research methods. I have previously worked as a public school teacher, a Policy Assistant at the White House Initiative on American Indian and Alaska Native Education, and an instructor at both Turtle Mountain Community College and Freedom University. My current research contextualizes contemporary education policy for Native youth within two centuries of settler colonial and racialized dynamics for Indian education.

For more on my work, you can find me on Google scholar, follow me on Twitter, visit my profile with the Tribal Nations Research Group, or check out my faculty page.

I look forward to hearing from you!
