My name is Meredith McCoy and I am a PhD Candidate in American Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. Before graduate school, I taught middle school Spanish, literacy, and Social Studies in Nashville and Atlanta. I have worked in education policy as a Policy Assistant for the White House Initiative on American Indian and Alaska Native Education, and my current research investigates the ramifications of the shift from No Child Left Behind to the Every Student Succeeds Act for tribal education departments.
For more information on my program and my work within it, please see UNC’s Department of American Studies, American Indian and Indigenous Studies at UNC, or UNC American Studies Graduate Students. You can also follow me on Twitter @meredithlmccoy. I look forward to hearing from you!
